Life is an ever flowing, ever changing, River of Experience. One of the constants that will never change is the need for music and movement. No matter our age, music speaks to our soul and bonds with our emotions and memories, and movement is what generates well-being and keeps our bodies flexible, fit and strong. Both Music and Movement accompany us down the River of Experience. Music gives us a quality of soul/spirit and Movement gives us a quality of life. So Just Add Music & Movement. J.A.M.M.

Studio JAMM is a place where teachers of music and movement can find their home and share with our community their skills and talents. May you find joy in the music and movement that Studio JAMM is offering.

Noah Atchley

Noah Atchley has been playing music most of his life. He loves teaching and working with students of all ages and experience levels. He customizes lessons to what the student likes to listen to and wants to learn, drawing from an extensive classical violin background, experience with American folk music, and love of many other types of music including rock, metal, blues, bluegrass, electronic, pop, jazz, etc. He is certified to teach levels 1 and 2 of the O'connor Method and uses various books and studies along the way, including Suzuki. He has taught violin primarily on and off for the past 15+ years but is now also offering guitar lessons for beginners and intermediate players, acoustic or electric.

During lessons he helps students develop technique, ear training, sight-reading, playing with others, and theory as it applies to the goals of the student. He also likes to learn, write, and record his own music in his spare time. Teaching is his favorite way to help people unlock their creativity and enrich their lives through music.

Lindsey has taught music, dance and theatre to all age groups. She has worked as an educator for several theatres and schools in the PNW and even ran the theatre department at Lincon High School in Tacoma, WA before leaving the classroom to start a family. She is OVERJOYED to begin bringing more music and dance opportunities to the San Juan Island community.
